Two Months Before Mommyhood

I'm actually not sure I've talked about this whole "becoming a mom" thing here on the CU-WISE blog yet, so, if you didn't know, I'm expecting! Not only that, but I'm due in less than two months. (That's one reason you don't see me on the current list of executives.)

I noticed on my personal blog that I hadn't written about pregnancy or mommyhood very much, so I took a few minutes to list out some of my worries and some of the things I'm looking forward to.  Check it out.

What are your impressions about being a student and starting a family? It probably seems like a particularly scary notion if you're an undergrad, but can you see yourself doing it as a grad student? What goes through your mind when you see other students with pregnant bellies walking around campus?

This is such a perfect post as I just got accepted into B.Sc for the Fall term and have a 2 and 1 year old. I'm glad I won't be alone raising a family as a student. I also graduated with a B.A. in 2009 and had my last exam at the beginning of July and my son on July 31st! I have to admit I felt like I stuck out a bit in my classes but I did find I got on with one of my profs well as he had a newborn at home :)
Good luck with your delivery & new baby!

Good for you! :D Are you coming to Carleton? What science are you taking?

I am coming to Carleton and will be taking B.Sc. Biology (Honours). I am really glad I found this blog as I am really excited about going back to school now, but I know that there will be days when I have those "What the heck am I doing?" moments and need a little motivation.
I noticed after that your post was from November so I should have said congratulations on your new baby :)
